Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council: We Will Not Allow Inspectors into Sensitive Locations

Hassan Rouhani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, stated regarding the acceptance of the Additional Protocol by the country: "We will not allow our confidential news and sacred locations to be violated, and we will not permit inspectors to enter these places." Previously, during a quadrilateral meeting in Tehran with the foreign ministers of three European countries (the UK, France, and Germany), it was emphasized that Iran has accepted the Additional Protocol of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) unconditionally. Acceptance of this protocol means that IAEA inspectors can search any point in the signatory country without any time or location restrictions. Rouhani also addressed the suspension of uranium enrichment in Iran, adding: "The country's uranium enrichment activities will never be halted; rather, we have temporarily suspended it to prove the lies of our enemies, and if Europe does not fulfill its commitments, we will resume it." According to Mehr News Agency, he added: "We have thwarted an enemy conspiracy, but this is not the end; our test regarding the West and Europe will be in the next meeting in November. If they fulfill their promises, we will continue to clarify, but if we see deception, they should not expect transparency from us anymore." The Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council of Iran also expressed: "We accept a treaty only when we gain advantages from it." It is noteworthy that Joschka Fischer, the German Foreign Minister, after returning from Tehran, reminded reporters: "In the agreement with Iran, we did not give any concessions to Tehran."
