Sharifeh Mohammadi, imprisoned labor activist, says she is still under interrogation in Sanandaj prison

Sharifeh Mohammadi, a imprisoned labor activist, announced in a brief phone call with her husband, Siros Fathi, on Saturday, February 10, that she is still under interrogation in Sanandaj prison. According to the "Free Sharifeh Campaign," Ms. Mohammadi mentioned in this phone call that since her transfer from Rasht prison to Sanandaj prison, she has been kept in solitary confinement. This is her third phone call with her family since her arrest. This labor activist was arrested by government agents in Rasht on December 5 and was later transferred to Sanandaj. There is currently no information available regarding the charges against Sharifeh Mohammadi, and according to "Bidar Zani," a media outlet of women’s rights activists, the investigating judge continues to refuse to respond to her family. Previously, reports indicated that Ms. Mohammadi's family was concerned about her physical condition, as they had indirectly learned that there were signs of beating on her face and her finger had become infected. Simultaneously, according to Bidar Zani and several labor organizations, a legal case has been opened against Siros Fathi, Sharifeh Mohammadi's husband, due to his inquiries about his wife's situation, with the reason being "efforts to learn about the detention process and the security case against her." Previously, Mr. Fathi had written in an open letter about following up on her case: "Every day I go, they give vague answers and say to come back in ten days. The investigator even avoids confronting me. For several days now, they have not allowed me to enter the courthouse." He also wrote: "The legal rights of individuals and citizens' rights are only inscribed on paper and have no practical application. My dear Sharifeh, my family and I know that baseless and absurd charges have been attributed to you."
