Sharifeh Mohammadi, labor activist, transferred from Sanandaj prison to Lakan prison in Rasht

A labor organization in Iran reported on Tuesday, March 7, that Sharifeh Mohammadi, a imprisoned labor activist, was transferred from Sanandaj prison to Lakan prison in Rasht on Sunday, March 6. The Coordination Committee to Help Establish Labor Organizations wrote: Sharifeh Mohammadi was transferred to Lakan prison after 83 days of uncertainty, during which she was banned from visits and subjected to extensive interrogation and harassment. The committee called for her immediate release. Additionally, it was noted that the family of Ms. Mohammadi had expressed concern over her physical condition, having indirectly learned that during her time in Sanandaj prison, signs of beating were visible on her face and her finger had become infected. Mohammadi was initially arrested on December 5 in Rasht by the security forces of the Islamic Republic and was transferred to Sanandaj prison after a few days. So far, there is no information regarding the charges against her, and security and judicial officials of the Islamic Republic have not provided any explanation in this regard. Other imprisoned labor activists, such as Reza Aghdasi, have been denied medical care despite their poor physical condition. The Syndicate of Workers of the Tehran and Suburbs Bus Company criticized the security officials for opposing the medical leave of Reza Shahabi. Nahid Khodajoo, another labor activist, was arrested and transferred to Evin prison. Evin officials prevented Davood Razavi from being sent to the hospital 'on the pretext of not wearing prison clothes.'
