The police are currently searching for 4 male suspects who shot into a crowd of about 15 people. According to the New York Police, the injured, aged between 16 and 19, were transported to local hospitals and are expected to recover. Reports indicate that users on social media were shocked by the incident and shared images of police presence at the scene. Meanwhile, the NYPD ruled out the possibility of a terrorist attack. This incident occurred just hours after two others in New Orleans and Las Vegas. In New Orleans, a truck drove into a crowded street celebrating the New Year, resulting in 15 deaths and over 30 injuries. The FBI identified the attacker as a 42-year-old man named Shamsuddin Jabbar, a U.S. citizen from Texas. According to the FBI, a flag of the terrorist group ISIS was found in the attacker's vehicle. Additionally, in Las Vegas, a Tesla Cybertruck exploded outside the hotel where President-elect Donald Trump was staying, killing one person and injuring 7 others. Officials stated that the driver entered the hotel parking area before the vehicle exploded. The exact cause of the explosion has not yet been determined, and it is unclear whether it was due to a vehicle malfunction or an external cause. An informed source told ABC News that the vehicle contained a shipment of fireworks, and investigators are working to uncover the possible motive of the driver and whether the explosion was intentional.
