According to Reuters, a shopping center in Bremen was evacuated following reports of threats made by this young Algerian. The police launched a large-scale search for the asylum seeker and ultimately apprehended him at a train station in Bremen. Authorities stated that the investigation into this individual is ongoing. The police noted that this young Algerian had been arrested the previous week on theft charges and had expressed support for the Islamic State group and an attack on a shopping center in Munich during questioning. According to the report, German police stated that there is no evidence linking this individual to the Islamic State group. Public opinion in Germany has been affected this month by several attacks that left at least 15 dead. After a medical facility reported that the asylum seeker had escaped, people at a shopping center in Bremen contacted the police, stating they had seen the young man behaving suspiciously. The police immediately evacuated the shopping center in Bremen, which is 40 kilometers away from the treatment center. A police spokesperson in Deifloz stated that security officials are taking this matter seriously given the current situation in Germany, but there is no evidence of a potential threat. He added, 'We have no solid evidence regarding this individual's planning for an attack or his connection to the Islamic State group.' According to Reuters, police officials stated that this young Algerian had attempted to harm himself several times and was therefore transferred to a treatment center, but escaped from there on Wednesday morning. On Sunday, a 27-year-old Syrian asylum seeker was killed after detonating his bomb near a music festival in Ansbach, Bavaria, injuring at least 12 others.
