Signal Comes to Android Systems

The Whisper System, which is considered an open-source system, has announced that the Signal application is now available for Android mobile systems and can be downloaded through Google. Signal was first launched six months ago for iOS systems by Apple. Signal is a messaging platform that claims it cannot be tracked by hackers or government surveillance systems. Currently, the application is only available for Android mobile phones, but a tablet version will soon be released. According to Yahoo, TextSecure and RedPhone, two other communication applications from the Whisper system, will also be integrated into Signal on Android. Signal on Android will have SMS, group chat, and voice call capabilities, just like it has operated on iOS for the past six months. Messages exchanged through the Signal application are encrypted on both sides (sender and receiver) and therefore cannot be identified or tracked by hackers or governments. These messages can be text, audio, or video. Users can find other users of this application through their phone's 'contacts' list without needing an invitation. Since no messages are stored on the Whisper server, accessing them is impossible, and even if a third party (hacker or government spies) gains access to individuals' messages, they cannot be read because they are all encrypted. Edward Snowden, who first revealed the U.S. government's spying on individuals' personal phones, mentioned on his Twitter account that he trusts Signal and 'uses it almost every day.' WhatsApp, another messaging application that was purchased by Facebook for $19 billion in 2014, also uses Whisper system codes for encrypting its messaging service. Although Signal does not have features like various emojis found in applications like Facebook Messenger, if you care about the security and privacy of your messages, it is probably the best application currently available for both iOS and Android systems.
