Based on a video recorded by a surveillance camera, which has been exclusively provided to Voice of America, Aida Moradbehrouzi and her classmate Hasti Mohammadi, both 13-year-old students, were last seen on February 11 while on their way to school. Aida Moradbehrouzi, the 13-year-old daughter of two civil activists in Qazvin, namely Mohammad Reza Moradbehrouzi and Soori Chaghini Babaei, disappeared along with her classmate while her mother is in prison for opposing mandatory hijab and supporting plaintiffs, and her father is facing open cases for civil activities. An informed source told Voice of America on Thursday, March 1, that since then, despite the repeated visits of the families of these two teenagers to judicial authorities and law enforcement, no trace of the two children has been found, and officials have stated that 'they have done nothing' and that they are unable to help. According to this individual close to Aida Moradbehrouzi's family, the intelligence agencies of the Islamic Republic 'claim that they identify and arrest regime opponents even in the skies, like Abdolmalek Rigi, but now, after a month of searching for the two schoolgirls, for whom they have all the information, they express helplessness.' Based on the video recorded by the surveillance camera, the last time these two teenagers were seen was at 12:46 PM on February 11, crossing the street in their school uniforms. Last week, an informed source also told Voice of America that judicial officials have threatened Soori Chaghini Babaei and Mohammad Reza Moradbehrouzi that 'with the slightest activity, you will be arrested again.'
