Strong Criticism from Clinton and Democrats on Trump's Remarks about 'Founding ISIS'

Following Donald Trump's statements that Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton are the 'founders of ISIS', Clinton stated, 'Anyone who can sink this low is unfit to lead America.' Democrats have also called for an apology for these 'disturbed' remarks. Trump, the Republican nominee for the upcoming presidential election in the U.S., accused Obama and Clinton of founding the Islamic State (ISIS) on August 10. The White House has refrained from commenting or reacting to these statements, but the Democratic nominee and the National Committee of the Party have responded. Clinton said, 'Anyone who can sink this low, and so regularly, is not worthy of leading our entire military.' The National Committee of the Democratic Party reacted relatively more strongly, demanding that Trump apologize for his 'disordered, unbalanced, and clearly baseless' statements. Jake Sullivan, Clinton's senior political advisor, also stated, 'These remarks are further evidence of Donald Trump's empty and hollow rhetoric to the American people.' The statement further noted that the Republican nominee 'reflects the views of [Vladimir] Putin (the President of Russia) and our enemies in attacking U.S. leaders and interests; while he offers no serious plan to combat terrorism and create more security in the country.' After making his remarks, Trump reiterated them; following a speech in which he accused Obama of founding the 'Islamic State', he told CNBC, 'Did I say something wrong?' and added, 'Are people upset that I said he (Barack Obama) was the founder of ISIS?' Trump then stated, 'What I am doing is telling the truth. I am a truthful person.' These comments came shortly after Trump's remarks about gun ownership supporters and preventing Hillary Clinton's election made headlines across the U.S. Trump had previously stated, 'Hillary Clinton wants to abolish the Second Amendment (the right to bear arms in America)... maybe Second Amendment supporters can do something' to prevent him from being elected president. Clinton accused Trump of promoting violence in response. Meanwhile, it was reported that the Secret Service, a federal agency responsible for the security of politicians in the country, has also spoken with Trump.
