Swedish Artist Loreen Wins Eurovision 2023 for the Second Time

Swedish artist Loreen won Eurovision 2023 on Saturday with her song "Tattoo" in Liverpool, northern England, becoming the first woman to win this competition twice. According to Mahan Moein, with this success, Loreen would win Eurovision for the second time, and Sweden, which has achieved significant accomplishments in this singing competition over the past decades, is preparing to celebrate this major victory. The 67th edition of the music festival, representing Ukraine, last year's winner, was held in Ukraine, which could not host this year due to the Russian invasion. Organizers had to choose between focusing on Ukraine and avoiding any political messages, which are not allowed in the competition, and they largely succeeded. The Kalush Orchestra, the winner of 2022, combined a recorded performance in Ukraine with a live performance in Liverpool in an opening sequence that included a brief appearance by Kate, a British princess, playing the piano.
