This time, Taiwanese director Ang Lee has brought another Marvel character to life, the Hulk, with his famous line before getting angry and increasing his body size: "You're making me angry; if I get angry, I don't think it will be a pretty sight." The reason for the Hulk's transformation is an accident in a laboratory. Bruce Banner is an introverted and thoughtful scientist who, when angry, grows to five meters tall and his muscles swell so much that his shirt and clothes tear apart. The Hulk literally turns from anger into a "green" emerald color and becomes nearly invincible. In the 1970s, the Hulk was a television series, and Lou Ferrigno, a muscular actor, played his role. However, in the current Hulk film showing in American cinemas, although Australian actor Eric Bana plays Bruce Banner, the Hulk is entirely computer-generated graphics. This is Ang Lee's first work in the science fiction genre. His film that won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Film was "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon." To help the actors and special effects experts visualize the Hulk, he recreated and performed the Hulk's movements himself. He says, "I was so stressed that impersonating the Hulk was like therapy for me... I really hope viewers can see the Hulk as a being and not just a computer-generated character. I told the actors to try to find the Hulk within themselves, at an unconscious level, and how to hide or reveal such a thing..." Jennifer Connelly, who won the Best Actress award for the film "A Beautiful Mind," plays Bruce Banner's colleague in the film. Nick Nolte plays the role of the Hulk's father, whose genetic experiments caused the Hulk to become what he is. The actor from the old Hulk series also appears as a guest actor in a scene of the film.
