Ferrari managed to sell this car at an auction for seven million dollars. The proceeds from the sale of this Ferrari will be used to support the recent earthquake victims in Italy. Ferrari's initial plan was to produce 499 units of the LaFerrari, but the 500th unit was made; a car that was taken out of the Maranello production line and auctioned to attract donations for the recent earthquake in Italy. Recently, a 6.2 magnitude earthquake destroyed cities and villages around the central mountains of Italy, leaving nearly 300 dead and hundreds injured. Meanwhile, 4,000 people had no homes to return to. This 949-horsepower car features a classic red paint job with white stripes and an Italian flag on its nose. The sale of this car for seven million dollars comes at a time when Ferrari has sold other LaFerraris for about 1.5 million dollars. The company unveiled its extraordinary super sports car at the Geneva Motor Show in 2013. The LaFerrari is an electronic-gasoline super sports car. Production of this car began in 2014 and continued until 2016. Its main competitors are McLaren P1 and Porsche 918. To make the LaFerrari more special and distinctive, Ferrari used a dynamic control system alongside aerodynamic design, which was installed for the first time on a road model of Ferrari cars, giving the vehicle the highest level of performance and aerodynamics. Ferrari designed and produced a hybrid engine for this car, combining a gasoline engine and an electric motor to create an extraordinary power of 963 horsepower for the LaFerrari. This immense power is achieved by combining the two engines, with the gasoline engine producing 800 horsepower and the electric motor 163 horsepower. Thus, this car can experience an incredible acceleration of three seconds and reach 200 kilometers per hour in seven seconds, ultimately achieving a maximum speed of 350 kilometers per hour. The gasoline engine of this car is a high-pressure direct fuel injection type, which is the best engine designed by Ferrari and has won the best engine of the year awards. Despite its high power, this engine meets the highest Euro 5 emissions standards. This 6200 cc V12 engine has a torque of 700 Newton-meters at 6750 RPM. Additionally, a 60 kg lithium battery pack is located at the rear and under the seats. The electric motor of this car adds 270 Newton-meters to the vehicle's torque, giving the LaFerrari a total torque of 970 Newton-meters. Meanwhile, the weight of this supercar is only 1255 kg, which, considering the type of engine, is considered an engineering marvel. Unlike its competitors, McLaren and Porsche 918, which are also hybrid like the LaFerrari, Ferrari's engine is designed to always provide maximum usable output, with no specific driving mode considered for it. The gasoline engine of this car does not use any turbocharging and is completely naturally aspirated. This engine is the strongest ever placed on a road car. The car's batteries can be charged in two ways: either by connecting to a power source or during braking.
