The New Aston Martin: 'Most Beautiful' Car of the Year

The title of the most beautiful car of the year has been awarded to the new Aston Martin model by Bloomberg news agency. This car, named Vanquish Zagato, is the fifth vehicle that the British automaker has showcased in collaboration with the Italian design company. Each part of this car is inspired by various sections of Aston Martin vehicles that have been made so far. This model is essentially an evolution of the last Aston Martin Zagato model introduced in 2013 at a price of $450,000. Now, in the new model, the body design is entirely carbon fiber, giving the car a stunning beauty, while Zagato has skillfully decorated the cabin with a combination of fine leather and carbon fiber surfaces. Meanwhile, the power of the V12 engine with a capacity of 5,900 cc has reached 600 horsepower. With this engine, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.6 seconds. The Vanquish Zagato concept was designed in collaboration between the Zagato design team led by Andrea Zagato and the Aston Martin design team led by Marek Reichman in Milan, Italy. The engineering development also took place at Aston Martin's headquarters in England. The body is made entirely of carbon fiber and features large panels. At the front, there are new headlights designed but inspired by previous Aston Martin models, and at the back, there are Zagato-designed lights. The rear lights also have inspirations from the LED lights of the Vulcan super sports car. The Vanquish Zagato is a design combining the Aston family and Zagato racing cars, and one of the prominent elements of the new concept model is its arched and prominent roof, which is a key element in classic Zagato designs. Many options are offered in the new Aston Martin with the Vanquish Zagato. The blade-like lights at the back of this car resemble those in the Vulcan model. The lines at the back of the car also remind one of the Aston Martin DB11. The sides of the car have indentations that completely change the car's appearance, and the wings of the car have also disappeared in the DB11 model, making it more similar to modern sports cars. The trunk space has been enlarged, and access to this space is provided from the cabin area. As an expensive concept model, extensive changes were expected in the interior space. However, the internal changes have not been particularly striking so far, and the exterior has undergone more transformation. However, the seats of this car have become larger and more comfortable. The center console has changed and has taken on a more modern shape. The vents and interior handles have been colored chrome and bronze, and the use of premium materials in the car is evident. Aston Martin was founded in 1913 by Lionel Martin and Robert Bamford. The first car produced under the Aston Martin name was designed by Martin himself. This car had a four-cylinder engine. Due to the expansion of World War I, Martin joined the Navy, and Bamford also joined the British Army. All the equipment of this factory was sold to an English aircraft manufacturing company called Sapworth. However, this company returned to the automotive world in 1926 under the name Aston Martin Motors Limited. Like many European companies, the 1930s and 1940s were tough times for Aston Martin. The company experienced several ownership changes, but in 1937 it managed to register a production figure of 140 cars, the highest annual production since the start of Aston Martin's activities. World War II made production conditions more difficult for Aston Martin, and the purchase of this company by David Brown somewhat revived it. During his ownership, all Aston Martin cars produced carried the initials of their owner’s name, DB. In 1949, two prototypes of the DB2 entered the Le Mans races, and in 1950, production of this model began. In 1951, the name Aston Martin DB2 became immortal in the history of Le Mans racing and sports cars by securing first to third places in its class. One of the most important events during that time was the presence of the Aston Martin DB5 in the first two James Bond films starring Sean Connery, which brought global fame to Aston Martin. However, even James Bond films could not save Aston Martin from the fuel crisis of the 1970s and the introduction of new safety regulations. David Brown was forced to sell Aston Martin in 1972. In 1975, the company's production fell to its lowest level, with only 21 units produced that year. The company eventually came under Ford's ownership in 1994 due to various crises. Ford's ownership improved the situation for this British company somewhat, and in 2001 Aston Martin introduced the Vanquish model. This car was one of the stars of the James Bond film 'Die Another Day' starring Pierce Brosnan. New Aston Martin models shone in James Bond films each time, one of these cars was the DBS model in the film 'Casino Royale.' In 2007, Aston Martin was sold to a consortium of two international investment companies led by David Richards and Dr. Ulrich Bez. With new investments, Aston Martin moved in the right direction. In 2008, the DBS model appeared in another James Bond film called 'Quantum of Solace' starring Daniel Craig.
