The Number of 'Expelled' Islamic Republic Agents from Canada Reaches 16

Global News Canada reported on Friday, November 23, that the country's immigration department has recently identified another senior member of the 'Iranian regime' living in Canada, bringing the total number of Islamic Republic agents on the verge of expulsion from Canada to 16. According to this Canadian media outlet, the latest Islamic Republic agent facing expulsion is Amin Youssefijam, known as Amin Cohen, who has also been convicted in the U.S. for sending sensitive materials to Iran, violating sanctions. Canada has accused him of undermining Ottawa's efforts to contain the threats posed by the Iranian regime. Initially, Amin Youssefijam's expulsion case was set to proceed on October 28, but with his lawyers withdrawing from the case, the court session has been postponed to February 25. Arash, Amin Youssefijam's brother, has also been convicted by the U.S. government for circumventing the Islamic Republic's sanctions. According to the Canada Border Services Agency, following the issuance of two previous expulsion orders, there are currently seven expulsion hearings underway against senior suspects of the Iranian regime, and recently, the case of another Islamic Republic official has been sent to the immigration and refugee department for an expulsion hearing. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau stated on Friday: 'We have taken significant actions to suppress the influence of the murderous Iranian regime in Canada and hold its agents accountable.' He added: 'Federal agencies in Canada are ensuring that individuals who are here to destabilize our economy and country and harm Canadian families cannot achieve their destructive goals.' The Canadian government considers the 'Iranian regime' and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps as leaders of the 'axis of resistance,' responsible for violence and instability in the Middle East and the main supporters of Hamas, Hezbollah, and the Houthis in Yemen, and has recently accused the Islamic Republic of several plots to assassinate opponents and critics, including the assassination of Irwin Cotler, a former Canadian Minister of Justice. Earlier this year, Canada also issued expulsion orders for two Iranian officials named Majid Iranmanesh and Seyed Salman Samani.
