The Organization 'United Against a Nuclear Iran' Welcomes Canada's Action; All Radical Activities Related to the IRGC Will Be Prohibited

The Organization United Against a Nuclear Iran on Wednesday, June 30, praised Ottawa's decision to designate the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) as a terrorist organization. Mark Dubois, the CEO of the organization, referred to the release of images of an individual wearing IRGC attire at a rally in Toronto, stating: 'Now all propaganda and radical activities related to the IRGC will be prohibited, and this action provides the necessary tools to identify and prevent IRGC actions in Canada.' Dubois added: 'The recognition of all components of the IRGC as a terrorist organization by Canada will not only have symbolic significance but will also play a practical role in reducing this organization's ability to foster Islamic radicalism and domestic terrorism.' He further stated: 'Western democracies are creating a positive global action by designating the IRGC as a terrorist organization, and Canada is the second Western democracy in the world to take this step after the United States, demonstrating to everyone the false narrative that U.S. allies cannot blacklist the IRGC because it is part of the Iranian government.' The CEO of the Organization United Against a Nuclear Iran also urged Australia, the European Union, and the United Kingdom to join Canada and the United States in sanctioning the IRGC as a terrorist organization. Canada's Minister of Public Safety announced on Wednesday, June 30, at a press conference that the Canadian government has decided to introduce the IRGC as a terrorist organization 'under criminal regulations.' He accused the Islamic Republic of Iran of 'supporting terrorism,' violating human rights 'inside and outside Iran,' and 'seeking to destabilize the rules-based international order.' Mr. LeBlanc added: 'Canada will use all possible tools to counter the terrorist actions of the IRGC.' Canada has placed the IRGC on its list of terrorist groups.
