The Silence of 'Lucky Luke'; Manouchehr Valizadeh Passes Away

Manouchehr Valizadeh, a renowned Iranian voice actor and actor, passed away on Wednesday, February 19, at the age of 84 after a period of illness. According to Iranian media, Mr. Valizadeh had been hospitalized in the intensive care unit for about a month due to health issues. He is best known for his voice acting in memorable roles such as 'Lucky Luke' and 'Michael Scofield' in the television series 'Prison Break.' This Iranian voice actor has voiced characters for actors such as Tom Hanks, John Travolta, Tom Cruise, Harrison Ford, Nicolas Cage, Jason Statham, Jim Carrey, Will Smith, Eddie Murphy, Robert Wagner, and Elvis Presley. As an actor, Manouchehr Valizadeh appeared in various films and series and also hosted programs on radio and television. His collaboration with the program 'Friday Morning with You' on radio is considered one of this artist's valuable contributions. Manouchehr Valizadeh, whose real name was 'Manouchehr Valizadeh Tehrani,' was born on June 25, 1940, in the 'Lalehzar' neighborhood of Tehran. He entered Tehran theater in the late 1950s after acting in several amateur plays during high school and had a minor role in a play directed by Maureen. After collaborating on several short films, he was introduced to Ali Kasmaei and underwent several years of apprenticeship. After some time, he voiced the lead role of 'Hal Ferrer' in the film 'The Violet Seller' and was introduced to Amin Amini through Taji Ahmadi in 1961 (Golden Age Studio). Valizadeh's first acting experience in cinema was in the film 'Khoddad' in 1962, and he acted in about 18 feature films until 1978.
