According to Reuters, the U.S. Treasury announced that Russia is facing 'resource shortages' due to its involvement in the Ukraine war and has turned to 'North Korea' and other allies for support. This 'severe resource shortage in Russia' has arisen following a series of U.S. sanctions against Russia and its President since the onset of Putin's brutal war in Ukraine. The companies targeted by these sanctions are 'Voros Company', 'Defense Engineering Company', and 'Versor SRO', all accused of aiding illegal financial networks. Reports indicate that these sanctioned companies are involved in supporting North Korea's military efforts in Ukraine. The United States and its allies remain committed to 'detecting and disrupting' the 'global arms trade', which exacerbates 'Putin's deadly actions' in Ukraine. Recently, Kim Jong-un, the leader of North Korea, emphasized strengthening 'tactical and strategic' cooperation with Russia in defense and national security. Since Russia's invasion and the Ukraine war, both Russia and North Korea, facing isolation and Western sanctions, have been enhancing their cooperation, particularly in the military sector. Earlier, Voice of America reported on 'Russia and North Korea's targeting for full-scale military cooperation', noting that Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, emphasized 'wartime cooperation' in a congratulatory message to Kim Jong-un on the occasion of National Liberation Day, referencing 'historical backgrounds'.
