The 'Voice of Iranians' Party Receives Activity License from the Ministry of Interior

Hosseinali Amiri, Deputy Minister of Interior of Iran, has stated to the IRNA news agency that the Article 10 Commission of Political Parties has agreed to issue an activity license for the 'Voice of Iranians' party. In its report published on Monday, December 1, IRNA referred to 'Voice of Iranians' as a 'reformist' political organization that requested a license from the Ministry of Interior in August 2014, emphasizing that Sadegh Khrazi, a former Iranian representative to the United Nations and former ambassador to France, is among the members of this party. Several other members, mostly younger and former members of the Participation Front and the electoral headquarters of Mir Hossein Mousavi, are founding members of this party. Sadegh Khrazi is also close to Mohammad Khatami, the former president of Iran, and has close ties with the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic due to his sister's marriage to one of Ali Khamenei's children. Sadegh Khrazi is also the nephew of Kamal Kharrazi, former foreign minister during Khatami's administration and the current head of the Strategic Council on Foreign Relations appointed by Ayatollah Khamenei. Recently, Sadegh Khrazi shared a photo with Qassem Soleimani, commander of the Quds Force of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which received widespread attention on social media, and in an interview with the 'Nameh News' site, he stated that 'Qassem Soleimani's activities enhance the regional prestige and strengthen the power of the Islamic Republic.' In its first statement, the Voice of Iranians emphasized 'reformism' and 'distance from extremism,' adding that it seeks to 'strengthen democracy and institutionalize the eight-point message of Imam Khomeini.' Previously, Eisa Saharkhiz, a well-known reformist journalist, wrote in an article titled 'A Party Favorable to the Ruling Class' on the 'Jaras' website that there are rumors that the charter of the Voice of Iranians party was approved by the Supreme Leader through a 'kinship circle' before being presented to the Ministry of Interior.
