She also stated that the President expresses condolences to the families of the victims and hopes that the injured will recover soon. In this shooting, Srinivas Kuchibhotla, an Indian-American computer engineer, was killed. His friend Alok Madasani, another Indian-American, along with an American worker, was injured in the shooting. Ian Grillot, a 24-year-old construction worker who tried to intervene, was injured in the chest and arm. Recent reports from a tavern worker in Missouri indicate that the suspect, after the shooting, went to another city and claimed to have 'killed two Iranians.' A tavern worker in Missouri, 120 miles from the shooting site, called the police early Thursday morning and said the suspect told him he had killed two Iranians but had sworn him to secrecy. According to the Associated Press, police arrested Adam Purinton moments after this call.
