Several state legislatures in the U.S. received bomb threat calls on Wednesday morning. According to the Associated Press, these threats led to the temporary evacuation of these buildings and the blocking of access to them. Police searched the buildings but found no signs of explosive materials. In recent days, several false reports of shootings at the homes of public figures have also emerged. States including Connecticut, Georgia, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, and Montana had their state offices or buildings evacuated. Legislators in Kentucky and Mississippi had just begun their legislative sessions when they were forced to leave the buildings. An official from Mississippi stated that investigations are ongoing. Recently, several government officials in the U.S. have been targeted by false emergency calls, prompting officers to visit their homes. For instance, Marjorie Taylor Greene, a Republican representative from Georgia, was the target of a fake emergency call on Christmas morning. The U.S. expressed condolences to the victims of the 'horrific' bombings in Kerman; Germany condemned the terrorist act.
