Three Hezbollah Members Killed in Israeli Army Attack

The Israeli army announced in a statement that it killed three members of Hezbollah in three separate attacks in southern Lebanon. According to the report, early on Friday, a senior Hezbollah member named Mohammad Najm was killed in a drone strike in 'Aita al-Jabal' (Aita al-Zouit) in southern Lebanon. According to the Israeli army's statement, Mohammad Najm was a senior member of Hezbollah's rocket and missile unit in southern Lebanon. The Israeli army also killed another Hezbollah member who had fired rockets at the 'Yiftah' area early Friday and was in a building used by the group in 'Mays al-Jabal' in southern Lebanon during an airstrike. The Hebrew-language account of the Israeli army on social media also published footage of the attack on the building used by Hezbollah's rocket and missile unit. Additionally, another Hezbollah member who had launched rockets from 'Aytarun' in Lebanon to 'Malakiyeh' was killed in an Israeli attack. Following the terrorist attack by Hamas on October 7 last year, which resulted in 1,200 deaths and over 250 hostages taken, Israel began its assault on Gaza aimed at destroying this group supported by the Islamic Republic and freeing the hostages. This attack was supported and encouraged by officials of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Hezbollah, another group supported by the Islamic Republic, also began sporadic rocket and drone attacks on northern Israel. The continuation of these cross-border attacks by Hezbollah has led to the deaths of over 400 members of this group, including some of its senior commanders, due to retaliatory attacks by Israel. Tensions from these conflicts have significantly increased since August 6, following a deadly rocket attack by Hezbollah on northern Israel that resulted in the deaths of 12 children and teenagers. In response to this deadly attack, Israel targeted Fawad Shukr, the highest-ranking military commander of Hezbollah, in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon, on August 9. Just hours later, in the early hours of August 10, Ismail Haniyeh, the political leader of Hamas, was targeted in a deadly attack in Tehran, which the Islamic Republic attributed to Israel despite its 'neither confirm nor deny' stance. The Islamic Republic and Hezbollah have warned that they will not leave these deadly attacks unanswered. In contrast, Israeli officials have promised that anyone who attacks their country will pay a heavy price. Meanwhile, the United States and its allies have intensified their diplomatic efforts to establish a ceasefire in Gaza and prevent the escalation of conflicts into a full-scale regional war, warning the Iranian government and its proxies, including Hezbollah, that they will support Israel against the Islamic Republic and its terrorist proxy groups. The defense ministers of the United States and Israel discussed the 'ongoing threats' from the Iranian government and Hezbollah. The Washington Post reported that the Islamic Republic likely has no desire to enter into a large-scale regional war. The Israeli army attacked Hezbollah positions in 10 areas in southern Lebanon. Hamas and Islamic Jihad blamed Israel for the failure of ceasefire negotiations in Gaza. Israeli military operations in Lebanon resulted in the death of Khalil al-Maqdah, a commander of the military wing of 'Fatah.' Israeli airstrikes in Lebanon left three dead; Hezbollah responded with rocket and drone fire.
