Three Police Officers Killed in Kermanshah During Pursuit Operation

The number of police and IRGC personnel killed during pursuits of "offenders", "criminals", and "drug traffickers" in the past two weeks has reached seven. The local website "Mersanews" reported on Thursday, April 13, the death of three police officers in the "Thalas Babajani" county of Kermanshah province. This website stated that the cause of death for these three individuals was the deviation of a vehicle carrying four police officers while pursuing a "smuggling vehicle". During this pursuit, the "police vehicle veered off the road and fell into a ravine, resulting in the deaths of three out of four occupants". On April 12 of this year, two members of the IRGC's "Quds" base in the ground forces also lost their lives in a mission in Zahedan due to an accident. Media affiliated with the IRGC did not announce the main cause of this incident, but "Young Journalists Club" reported that the cause of death for these two officers was a traffic accident. On April 1, two police officers also died in a collision with a Pride vehicle. The occupants of this vehicle were identified and arrested by the police on April 3. Every year, a significant number of police, IRGC, and Basij personnel suffer accidents during various missions, and there are no accurate statistics on the number of deaths and injuries from these incidents.
