The lawyer of Tomaj Salehi announced the holding of a hearing for this protesting singer's case in the parallel branch and stated that defenses have been made and they are now waiting for the 'issuance of a verdict.' Mostafa Nili, Salehi's defense attorney, wrote on the social media platform X on Sunday, August 21: 'After the annulment of the verdict issued by the first branch of the Isfahan Revolutionary Court in the Supreme Court, today, Sunday, August 21, a hearing for Mr. Tomaj Salehi's case regarding the 2021 protests was held in the fifth branch of the Revolutionary Court as a parallel branch.' Tomaj Salehi was arrested and imprisoned on November 8, 2022, during nationwide protests against the killing of Mahsa Amini while in the custody of the morality police.
