Trump Advisor: The White House Considers All Options Including Issuing a New Immigration Order

Stephen Miller, an advisor to President Trump, stated that the White House is considering all options for implementing Donald Trump's immigration order, which has been suspended by a court ruling, and these options may include issuing a new immigration order. In an interview with Fox News, Mr. Miller emphasized that issuing a new executive order aims to protect American citizens from 'hostile' entries, but other options, including potential legal actions, are also being considered. He clarified, 'We are thinking about new measures and additional actions to ensure that our immigration system is not a vehicle for terrorists.' Over two weeks ago, the President issued an executive order imposing restrictions on immigration and travel to the U.S., which included a 120-day ban on accepting immigrants and refugees and a permanent ban on accepting Syrian refugees. This order also prohibited the entry of citizens from seven countries of concern to the U.S., including Iran, for a 90-day period. Trump's immigration order faced several legal challenges in federal courts across the U.S. during its first week of implementation, and ultimately, a federal judge in Washington state temporarily suspended its execution nationwide. This ruling was reviewed by the U.S. government in the San Francisco appellate court, but ultimately, three of these courts upheld it. In response, Donald Trump harshly criticized the U.S. judiciary and promised that appropriate actions would be taken to enforce immigration restrictions at the earliest opportunity. Now, Stephen Miller has told Fox News that the appellate court acted beyond its responsibilities. He assured that the President would emerge victorious from this challenge in fulfilling his promises to stop 'radical Islamic terrorists' from entering the U.S. Mr. Miller noted in this interview that the President's power is unquestionable, and this will be affirmed. He also stated that the executive orders issued regarding immigration 'have significantly strengthened U.S. national security.' Trump himself stated on Friday in a joint press conference with the Prime Minister of Japan that the legal process on this matter would continue and that the government would prevail in this regard. Just hours after the appellate court's ruling, he called the issued ruling shameful in a Twitter message. Stephen Miller's interview with Fox News on Sunday also prompted a Twitter reaction from Trump, who expressed satisfaction that his advisor represented him well in this television interview. In this context, Donald Trump announced the possibility of signing a new travel ban for citizens of seven countries.
