Trump: Anti-Semitism Has No Place in America or Any Civilized Society

Hitler targeted other individuals in his ideological crimes, including Poles, Soviet Red Army prisoners of war, and homosexuals. Nazi German officials established the Auschwitz camp in 1940 after invading Poland in the town of Oświęcim. Initially, the camp was used to detain Polish prisoners, including Catholic priests and members of Polish underground resistance groups. The Germans later established about 40 camps in the area, but the most infamous of them was Auschwitz-Birkenau, which was used for mass killings in gas chambers.
