The President-elect stated, 'We know that Biden claims he and his colleagues have implemented this agreement. They had no money and could do nothing. But they did it. But we will not let these events happen again.' Since the Taliban's takeover, the U.S. has provided over 2.1 billion dollars in humanitarian aid to Afghanistan. The Taliban has faced severe criticism from Western leaders and international organizations due to severe human rights violations, particularly against women and girls.
