Trump Criticizes Russia's Actions in Syria; Proposes New Agreement on Nuclear Weapons

The 45th President of the United States, who will take office on January 20, criticized Russia's military actions in the Syrian civil war, calling them 'very bad' and creating a 'terrible humanitarian situation.' He also described NATO as an 'outdated' organization for not taking further actions in the fight against terrorism, although he added that the alliance 'still holds great importance for me.' Trump reiterated his criticism of NATO members who do not contribute enough to the organization's activities, with the United States covering most of the costs. He noted that only five out of 28 NATO members make 'fair payments': 'Many of these NATO countries do not pay what they should, which I think is very unfair to the United States.' The elected President praised Britain's exit from the European Union and predicted that the EU's 'open immigration policies' regarding refugees could lead to more member states leaving. While respectfully mentioning German Chancellor Angela Merkel, Trump stated that the acceptance of a high number of undocumented migrants in Germany since 2015 was a 'catastrophic mistake' on her part. He also mentioned that he has tasked his son-in-law, Jared Kushner, with achieving a peace agreement in the Middle East. Trump praised Queen Elizabeth of Britain and expressed eagerness to reach a trade agreement with Britain, stating that he will meet with Prime Minister Theresa May soon.
