Trump: Hillary Clinton's Syria Policy Could Lead to World War III

Donald Trump, the Republican presidential candidate in the U.S. elections, stated on Tuesday that the policy proposed by Hillary Clinton, the Democratic candidate, to resolve the Syrian crisis could likely lead to World War III due to the increased possibility of direct confrontation with Russia. According to Reuters, Mr. Trump, in an interview regarding U.S. foreign policy, emphasized that defeating the Islamic State group, ISIS, takes precedence over convincing Syrian President Bashar al-Assad to resign. The Republican candidate remarked that when Hillary Clinton portrays Vladimir Putin, the President of Russia, as a villain, how does she expect to negotiate with him? Trump asserted that Clinton's policies regarding Syria could plunge the U.S. into a global war. Recently, Hillary Clinton expressed her support for establishing a no-fly zone in Syria, while opponents of this proposal argue that creating such a zone could heighten the risk of direct conflict between the U.S. and Russia in Syria. Trump stated, 'What we need to do is focus on ISIS. We should not be focusing on Syria.' He further emphasized, 'If we listen to Hillary Clinton's words, we will start World War III over Syria.' In another part of the interview, he said, '(If Hillary Clinton wins) World War III will start. She doesn't know what she is doing, like Libya and all the other things she has done.' He added, 'Syria is no longer Syria; Syria is now Russia. Iran is new, which we have created with the nuclear deal, a deal that was achieved through one of the worst negotiations I have ever seen.' The Republican candidate stressed that one should no longer fight with Syria, as they are fighting with Syria, Russia, and Iran, right? Russia is a nuclear power, a country that does not just talk about nuclear weapons like other countries but has a different approach to nuclear weapons. Trump also stated that defeating ISIS is more important than Assad's resignation. The conflict in Syria, which began in 2011, has left hundreds of thousands dead and millions displaced.
