Trump: I answered special counsel's questions in writing regarding Russia investigation

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, stated on Friday, November 16, that he has answered questions from Robert Mueller, the special counsel investigating Russian interference in the U.S. elections, in writing. Speaking to reporters at the White House, Trump mentioned that he has completed the written responses but has not yet sent them to Mueller. Trump again denied any 'collusion' between his campaign and Russia during the 2016 presidential election. He emphasized that he personally answered the questions and that his lawyers did not play a role in it. However, he noted that there were various questions that he found very easy to answer. U.S. intelligence agencies concluded in their reports that Russia interfered in the 2016 presidential election and attempted to sway the election results in favor of Donald Trump through hacking and false propaganda. The U.S. Department of Justice appointed Robert Mueller, the former director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), as the special counsel to lead the investigation on May 17 of last year. In August, Mueller formed a grand jury to examine documents related to the case, and then in the fall, the first charges and subsequent arrests were made in this regard. Russia has denied the allegations of interference in the elections. Trump has also firmly rejected any 'collusion' between his campaign and Russia, describing the formation of the special counsel as a 'witch hunt'.
