Trump: If Hamas Does Not Release Hostages by January 20, 'Hell' Will Break Loose

Donald Trump, the elected President of the United States, held a comprehensive press conference on Tuesday at his private estate in Florida. In this meeting, he explained his positions on key foreign policy issues. His second term is set to begin in about two weeks, on January 20. Trump emphatically called for the release of hostages who were abducted over a year ago by the Iran-backed Palestinian militant group Hamas from southern Israel. He stated six times with conviction: 'If this does not happen, hell will break loose.' The terrorist attack by Hamas on civilians in Israel has led to severe conflict that has since unsettled the region and resulted in the deaths of tens of thousands of civilians. Trump's special envoy for Middle East affairs, Steve Vitkoff, joined him moments before the speech to update reporters on his recent high-level negotiations in the region. Vitkoff mentioned that his team is 'on the verge' of reaching an agreement and will return to the region in the coming days. Trump addressed Vitkoff, saying, 'I do not want to jeopardize your negotiations,' and added, 'But if the hostages are not released by the time I take office, hell will break loose in the Middle East, and this will not be good for Hamas, and frankly, it will not be good for anyone.' Regarding Ukraine, Trump expressed his interest in meeting with the President of Russia and reiterated his commitment to resolving the Ukraine crisis, although he has not yet provided details on how he plans to do so. He accused current U.S. President Joe Biden of 'failure in foreign policy' and stated, 'Now I am entering a world that is burning.' Trump also spoke about Iran during this press conference.
