Trump on Possible Israeli Attack on Islamic Republic Positions: Let's See What Happens

Donald Trump, the President of the United States, on Tuesday at a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House, commented on a possible Israeli attack on the positions of the Islamic Republic, saying, "We have to see what happens." Trump rejected a journalist's assertion that "Iran has weakened," stating, "Iran is very strong... but that doesn't mean it can't become weak again." He indicated that under Joe Biden's administration, the Islamic Republic has become "strong," asserting, "When I was in office (during my first term), they had no money to give to Hamas and Hezbollah. October 7 couldn't have happened. They (under Biden) became strong quickly and sold a lot of oil to China because during my time they couldn't sell oil." The U.S. President emphasized that he simply wants to prevent the Islamic Republic from acquiring nuclear weapons and stated he would not allow the Islamic Republic to obtain nuclear arms. Regarding the situation in Gaza, Trump said that currently, living conditions in the area are non-existent and described it as a "site of destruction." He noted the high amount of explosives and unknown tunnels in Gaza, stating that the entire area is dangerous. He suggested that Jordan and Egypt, and perhaps other countries, could accept Gaza residents, adding, "No one is willing to live in Gaza." He proposed creating five to six "very beautiful" residential areas for Gaza residents and emphasized that returning to the region would mean repeating "massacres and destruction." In response to a question about Jordan and Egypt opposing the idea of relocating Gaza Palestinians, he referred to disputes over tariffs and immigration issues with Canada and Mexico, saying that Mexico and Canada also had discussions but changed their opinions. When asked about the possibility of establishing Jewish settlements in Gaza, he said, "No one can live in those dangerous conditions." Trump stated that the reason some want to return to Gaza is that there is no "beautiful and safe" alternative for Gaza. He repeatedly emphasized his desire for very beautiful areas for Gaza Palestinians in Jordan, Egypt, and perhaps other countries. The U.S. President added that he and his team are negotiating with Jordan, Egypt, and other countries and wants to see an agreement for their permanent relocation to beautiful homes where they can live in happiness and safety without being killed. While listening to the U.S. President, Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu did not comment on this matter. Benjamin Netanyahu stated that his goal is to return all hostages and destroy Hamas's military capabilities so that Gaza never poses another threat to Israel. He emphasized that Hamas should not be present in Gaza. In response to another question, Trump said that since the beginning of his first term, many problems have arisen in the world, including the Russia-Ukraine war, and emphasized that these issues need to be resolved. Donald Trump also commented on the normalization of relations between Israel and Saudi Arabia, saying, "We have to see what happens. There are steps that need to be taken. Maybe they won't be taken. It's a complex process." Trump: I hope you don't use the order against the Islamic Republic too much. The Organization for the Alliance Against a Nuclear Iran welcomed the return of "maximum pressure." Reuters reported on Iran's energy infrastructure following the start of the maximum pressure campaign. Trump issued an order to resume "maximum pressure" on the Islamic Republic.
