Earlier in January, Trump had stated that he 'would prefer' the Islamic Republic to reach an agreement with the U.S. rather than Israel launching a severe military attack on Iran's nuclear facilities, allowing Washington to 'monitor,' 'review,' and 'inspect' Iran's nuclear activities and then 'eliminate' them. Trump mentioned in an interview with Fox News that 'everyone thinks Israel will act with our help or approval and bomb them to hell. I would prefer that this does not happen.' He added, 'I would much rather have an agreement with Iran where we can agree, monitor, review, inspect, and then eliminate it or just make sure there is no longer a nuclear program.'
