Trump's Reaction to the Joint Military Exercises of the Islamic Republic, China, and Russia: The U.S. is Stronger than All of Them

We have more power than all of them.' The joint naval exercise of the Islamic Republic, China, and Russia will begin on Tuesday, March 12, at the port of Chabahar and in the northern Indian Ocean. According to Iranian media, the '2025 Maritime Security Belt Combined Exercise' will involve warships and support vessels from the Islamic Republic's Navy and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, as well as naval forces from China and Russia, aimed at 'expanding multilateral cooperation.' According to the Tasnim news agency, observers from nine countries, including Azerbaijan, South Africa, Oman, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, Qatar, Iraq, the UAE, and Sri Lanka, will also participate in this exercise. The Islamic Republic, China, and Russia held the '2024 Maritime Security Combined Exercise' late last year as well. Last week, Reuters reported that the U.S. government is considering a plan to inspect Iranian oil tankers as part of efforts to combat the proliferation of weapons of mass destruction. According to this report, officials in the Trump administration are currently exploring ways for U.S. allies to stop and inspect ships passing through important maritime inspection stations such as the 'Malacca Strait' in Asia and other sea routes. Donald Trump has promised to prevent the Islamic Republic from acquiring nuclear weapons by resuming the 'maximum pressure' campaign, isolating the Islamic Republic in the international economy, and reducing its oil exports to zero. Among the first actions of the U.S. President in the early weeks of his administration was to impose new sanctions on shadow fleets and companies that transport crude oil from sanctioned countries using old oil tankers. The U.S. President also recently announced that he sent a letter to the leaders of the Islamic Republic, expressing hope for negotiations while warning that the only options facing the Islamic Republic are 'reaching an agreement' or facing 'military action.' On Friday, March 8, Trump also stated at the White House regarding Iran: 'Something big will happen soon; decisive moments regarding Iran have arrived, and interesting days are ahead.' He emphasized: 'I hope the outcome is peace, but the other way will also solve the problem.' A warning from a White House official: If the Iranian government continues to support terrorism, pressure will increase.
