U.S. House of Representatives Approves New Sanctions Against North Korea

North Korea's missile, nuclear, and military tests, alongside its repeated threats of military action against its neighbors, have escalated tensions in the East Asian region to the highest levels. U.S. military and naval units in the Sea of Japan and the waters of the Korean Peninsula, with the agreement of the governments of Japan and South Korea, have conducted several defensive readiness exercises in recent weeks.
