U.S. President Quarantined; White House Spokesperson Reports Joe Biden's COVID Infection

The White House spokesperson announced in a statement that Joe Biden's COVID-19 test came back positive on Wednesday after his first meeting in Las Vegas. The White House stated that Biden is vaccinated and has received a booster dose, and currently has mild symptoms. According to the announcement, Biden will return to Delaware and quarantine there while continuing to fulfill all his duties. The President's doctor reported that Biden experienced upper respiratory symptoms this afternoon, including a runny nose and dry cough, along with general malaise. Although he felt well during his first daily event, due to a lack of improvement, a rapid COVID-19 test was conducted, which returned positive. In light of this, the President will quarantine according to guidelines for symptomatic individuals. Biden's doctor also added that his symptoms remain mild and his vital signs, including respiratory rate, body temperature, and blood oxygen level, are all within normal ranges. The President has received the first dose of Paxlovid and will quarantine at his home in Rehoboth. Joe Biden stated: 'In America, we are not enemies; we are neighbors and citizens of this country.' Biden acknowledged that a term he used about Trump was incorrect, referring to his lies. Biden also mentioned that if doctors indicate he has health issues, he would reconsider his candidacy for the election. Another Democratic representative has called for Biden to withdraw from the election; Adam Schiff stated: 'Pass the torch to someone else.' All eyes are on Biden as the U.S. President heads to Nevada for his election campaign.
