Unveiling of the Deadly Drone of the Islamic Republic; Mark Wallace: See the True Face of the Iranian Regime

At this year's major Republican conference in the U.S. (CPAC) on Thursday, March 2, a drone manufactured by the Islamic Republic was unveiled as definitive evidence of the regime's involvement in foreign wars. This drone was transferred to the U.S. in collaboration with the 'United Against a Nuclear Iran' organization, headed by former U.S. representative to the UN Mark Wallace, who personally unveiled the drone during the 'CPAC' conference. Mark Wallace stated that the purpose of this unveiling is to show the true face of the Iranian regime. According to him, 'this is the most terrifying weapon of mass destruction in the world,' which targets not only Ukrainians but also American forces and Saudi and Emirati allies. The head of the 'United Against a Nuclear Iran' organization said that while the leaders of the Islamic Republic smile and falsely claim their nuclear program is peaceful, they threaten citizens worldwide with terrorism and violence using this weapon. The drone, known as 'Shahed 136,' has recently been transferred to the United States. It was noted during the unveiling that this drone has a range of about 3,000 kilometers. The Shahed 136 drone is produced under the supervision of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, which the U.S. has designated as a terrorist organization. This drone is an example of the numerous weapons that have been transferred by the Islamic Republic to Russia and used in attacks on Ukraine. The Shahed 136 drone was also used in a deadly attack by Iranian-backed Shia militants on an American base in Jordan named 'Tower 22' in January 2024, which resulted in a military response from the U.S. This conference will host the highest-ranking figures of the current U.S. government, including President Donald Trump, Vice President J.D. Vance, National Security Advisor Mike Waltz, senior senators, and other officials. The destructive power of the Shahed 136 is equivalent to more than 50 kilograms of TNT and has been used in various attacks. The production cost of each of these drones for Iran is about $80,000, which is equivalent to 7.5 billion tomans at the current dollar rate. A large number of these drones and similar weapons are continuously provided by the Islamic Republic to the regime's allies. The Islamic Republic's support for Moscow, which initially was limited to selling drones to Russia, has expanded to participation in their production on Russian soil. Despite repeated warnings from the international community regarding support for Russia against Ukraine, the Iranian government has enhanced its military cooperation with Moscow through the sale of ballistic missiles. Previously, the Persian section of Voice of America aired a documentary about the extent of the Islamic Republic's support for Russia in the war against Ukraine and the negative views of Iranian citizens regarding this policy. The U.S. government has so far imposed multiple sanctions on individuals and entities related to the drone and missile industries of the Islamic Republic.
