Urban Inflation Rate Reached 14.5% in Farvardin 1394

The Statistical Center of Iran announced on Thursday, 3rd of Ordibehesht, that the urban inflation rate in Farvardin 1394 reached 14.5%, which is a 0.3% decrease compared to Esfand of the previous year. According to this report, the point-to-point inflation rate in Farvardin 1394, derived from the comparison of the inflation rate of this month with the same month of the previous year, reached 14%. To maintain the declining trend of average inflation, the Iranian economy needs to keep monthly inflation rates below 1% in the coming months. A detailed examination of the Statistical Center's report on urban inflation in Iran for Farvardin 1394 shows that the average inflation rate for food, beverages, and tobacco was 9.2%, which is lower than the average inflation rate, while the average inflation rate for non-food goods and services in urban areas reached 17%. The average urban inflation rate in Farvardin of the previous year decreased by over six percentage points to 30.2%. The report from the Statistical Center indicates that the 12-month inflation rate for Farvardin this year has decreased by approximately 30 percentage points to 14.5%.
