MUZAFFARGARH: Three sisters were found slain in a vacant quarter of Thermal Power Colony, some 10 kilometres away from the city area, on Tuesday.

According to police, thermal security sergeant Ejaz’s daughters Fatima (7) and Zahra (8) went out of the house to play in the street but did did not come back. Later, their elder sister Areesha went to find them but she too did not return home on Monday evening.

The family approached the police who searched the colony till late night and found them dead with their throats slit open in a vacant quarter adjacent to their house.

The deceased were laid to rest after autopsy at the DHQ hospital.

A forensic team collected evidence from the spot.

District Police Officer Hasnain Haider said police had taken some suspects into custody for investigation.

Meanwhile, caretaker Chief Minister Mohsin Naqvi has taken notice of the incident and sought a report from Dera Ghazi Khan Regional Police Officer retired Capt Sajjad Hassan.
