US Representative at the UN Calls for Assad Regime Cooperation for Humanitarian Aid to Syrian People

She emphasized that 'there is no justification for this obstruction and cruelty' and urged the Assad regime to agree to UN requests for renewed access to the Rukban camp, cross-border access through Bab al-Hawa in northwestern Syria, and to provide humanitarian aid to the people. The US representative at the UN also stressed the need for the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution 2254 and called on the Syrian government and the Russian state to participate 'without excuses' and constructively in the constitutional committee and other aspects of Resolution 2254.
