US Secretary of War Refers to Bombing of Iran's Nuclear Facilities and Arrest of Maduro: Trump is Action-Oriented

Pete Hegseth, the US Secretary of War, discussed America's operations to arrest Nicolas Maduro and his wife and transfer them from Venezuela to the US, emphasizing that President Donald Trump communicates with the world through his actions. In a video interview, Hegseth stated, "Well, I also mentioned the Iranians and their nuclear capabilities. The President said they (the Islamic Republic) will never obtain a nuclear bomb. The Iranians didn't believe it. He acted. He said the same about Maduro. He acted." Hegseth noted that the US President "said the same about the Houthis. He acted." The US Secretary of War added that regarding the southern borders, the President is fulfilling his promises, stating that they are going to take action against drugs and "we will act by attacking drug boats." Hegseth said, "This President is action-oriented. And you do not achieve peace in this dangerous world without power." He remarked, "There have been many politicians who want to talk. They want to talk about peace. They want to talk about diplomacy. They want to talk about negotiation. They want to talk about globalization or international organizations. President [Donald] Trump speaks through action." The US Secretary of War mentioned that "our allies understand this... our enemies understand this. So everyone around the world should pay attention." He added, "American leadership has returned. When he [Donald Trump] considers something important, it is important. And we will take necessary actions with all the power of the Department of War." Hegseth's remarks came after US forces transferred Nicolas Maduro and his wife to the US following their arrest. The United States has accused Maduro of involvement in drug trafficking to the US and stated he will be prosecuted. Donald Trump described the military operation that led to the arrest of Nicolas Maduro, the President of Venezuela, and his wife, Cilia Flores, as one of the most unprecedented displays of American power, announcing that Washington would take over the administration of Venezuela until a "safe, proper, and calculated transition" is achieved. The US President stated that this action has entered a new phase in Venezuela's political situation, adding, "The people of Venezuela have been freed again." Trump also stated that this operation has strengthened America's position and emphasized, "America is a safer and prouder country today." On Friday morning, Trump also warned the Islamic Republic on the social network "Truth Social," writing that if the Iranian government "shoots at peaceful protesters and violently kills them - which is their usual practice - the United States will come to their aid." He added, "We are in full readiness and prepared to act."
