Use of Tear Gas Confirmed at 'Khandvaneh' Show Audience

Mizan News Agency, affiliated with Iran's judiciary, confirmed reports circulating on social media regarding the use of tear gas during the television program 'Khandvaneh.' One of the program's staff members, in an interview published by this news agency on Friday (June 11), confirmed the altercation between two participants in the show and the use of tear gas. This individual, whose name has not been disclosed, stated that 'during the recording of the program, two participants present in the Khandvaneh studio got into a fight, and one of them resorted to using tear gas.' He added that the person who used the tear gas has been arrested by the police, and he has no information about the status of their case. In recent days, some social media users reported on the altercation in the recording studio and the firing of tear gas among the audience. The news website 'Khordad' reported that this 'strange action not only created a pause in the recording process but also caused panic, discomfort, tears, eye irritation, and coughing among the attendees. Additionally, one of the program's participants was sent to the hospital.' The organizational or institutional affiliation of the individual who threw the tear gas and how it entered the Khandvaneh studio is still unclear. However, unconfirmed reports have suggested a connection to military forces. Khandvaneh is one of Iran's most popular television programs, directed and hosted by Rambod Javan, where in each episode, discussions are held with celebrities from cinema, television, sports, politics, etc., about laughter and joy. This program has been broadcast on Iranian television since 2014 in three seasons and is performed in front of an audience present in the hall.
