Vahid Beheshti Delivered a Letter Regarding the IRGC to the King of Britain at a Party

Vahid Beheshti, a human rights activist who has been on hunger strike in front of the British Foreign Office for the past 70 days demanding the inclusion of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) on the list of terrorist organizations in the UK, says he was invited to a party at the British court to celebrate the coronation of Charles III and delivered a letter addressed to the King of Britain there. He tweeted that he delivered the letter related to the request for the IRGC's designation as a terrorist organization and his hunger strike in front of the British Foreign Office 'into the hands of the King' and used this opportunity to convey 'the voice of the people.' Last Tuesday, Vahid Beheshti also met with Tariq Ahmad, the UK Foreign Office's Minister for Middle East Affairs, and reported that this political figure supported the inclusion of the IRGC on the terrorist list. On Wednesday, April 30, 125 members of the British Parliament sent a letter to the Prime Minister of the UK expressing support for Vahid Beheshti and emphasizing the urgency of recognizing the IRGC as a terrorist organization. Meanwhile, thousands of Iranians opposing the Islamic Republic participated in a large rally and protest in London on Saturday, May 9, urging the UK to take action to add the IRGC to the list of terrorist organizations.
