Vin Diesel Accused of 'Sexual Assault' by Former Assistant

Vin Diesel's former assistant has filed a lawsuit against the well-known American actor and producer, claiming that Diesel sexually assaulted her in 2010. In the complaint filed in Los Angeles court, Stah Jonason alleged that Diesel harassed her in a hotel room while they were working on the film 'Fast & Furious 5'. The lawsuit claims that Jonason was fired from her job as Diesel's assistant just hours after the alleged assault. Diesel's legal and public relations representatives did not immediately comment on the matter. Claire Liz Kootley, Jonason's attorney, stated in a written statement: 'If powerful men are immune from accountability, sexual harassment in the workplace will never stop. We hope that [Stah Jonason's] brave decision to speak out will lead to lasting change and empower other victims.' The lawsuit details that Vin Diesel ignored Ms. Jonason's 'explicit expressions of dissatisfaction'. Jonason also mentioned that she remained silent for years due to fear of speaking out against 'one of the highest-paid actors in the world', worried about being ostracized from the industry. Jonason is one of many women who have accused a figure in the entertainment industry of sexual misconduct since the start of the 'Me Too' movement, which began in 2017 following a flood of allegations against Harvey Weinstein, one of Hollywood's most notorious producers who is now imprisoned.
