Voting Begins for the Democratic Party to Nominate Kamala Harris as 2024 Election Candidate

The Democratic National Committee stated that Harris received the support of 99% of party representatives from various regions of the country who signed petitions during the internal party elections, and no one else reached the threshold of 300 signatures required to qualify for the competition. Kamala Harris will be the first woman of color and of South Asian descent to achieve the title of presidential nominee in the United States.
