Warning About Hossein Razagh's Health Status; Transfer Back to Security Hall

News sources reported the transfer of "Hossein Razagh," a media activist imprisoned in Evin Prison, back to Hall 6 of Ward 4, under the supervision of security agencies and by direct order of a representative from the Ministry of Intelligence. According to these sources, Hossein Razagh, who was transferred to the general hall just a week ago with the coordination of the supervising judge and the direct order of the prison chief, faced the response that "your transfer to the general ward was also by our order" in protest against this "interference of security agencies in the internal affairs of the prison and the judiciary." The transfer back to Hall 6 occurred shortly after "Samaneh Esfandiari," Hossein Razagh's wife, was summoned and interrogated by the Ministry of Intelligence. Ms. Esfandiari was threatened with arrest if she continued her media and social activities. Hall 6 of Ward 4 in Evin Prison is completely under the control of security agencies, monitored 24/7 with seven surveillance cameras and listening devices. The movement of prisoners in this hall to other halls is completely restricted. "Saeed Madani," "Mohammad Reza Jalai-Pour," and "Mostafa Tajzadeh" are other prisoners present in this hall. Mostafa Tajzadeh, on August 8, wrote in a letter warning about Hossein Razagh's health status: "Mr. Hossein Razagh, a brave and outspoken media activist advocating for democracy, has been imprisoned in Evin Prison since August 21, 2022, and due to multiple illnesses and his specific and critical health condition, he should not have been imprisoned at all. According to forensic medicine, he can only endure imprisonment if he has quick and easy access to a specialist doctor, a suitable diet and medication, and regular hospital visits in a stress-free environment, all of which are currently denied to Hossein Razagh." Mr. Tajzadeh further stated in his letter: "If, God forbid, something happens to Mr. Razagh, the direct responsibility lies with Mr. Mohseni Ejei, who, either by the leader's order or out of fear of the leader, has entrusted the fate and health of political prisoners to interrogators and agents who care neither for the law, nor for religious principles, nor for freedom and ethics, and do not heed the conditions of the sick and the prescriptions of doctors." Mr. Razagh has been arrested and imprisoned three times since 2010. This media activist has been sentenced to five years, three years and seven months, and fifteen months in prison along with monetary fines for charges of conspiracy and collusion, propaganda against the regime, and dissemination of falsehoods. A voice message from Hossein Razagh, a political prisoner and cellmate of Hossein Ronaghi, expressed support and solidarity with him. Participation in the "Dialogue for Saving Iran" conference; Saeed Madani and Hossein Razagh were informed of their charges. Several political prisoners were released or granted leave in the last hours of the year 1401. Hossein Razagh stated that he was summoned to court for publishing news related to COVID-19.
