Warning About 'Illegal Entry' to the U.S.: You Will Be Imprisoned and Deported

The U.S. Department of State issued a message warning about the severe consequences of any illegal entry into the United States. This message, published on Friday, March 15, under the title 'Increased Enforcement of Immigration Laws and Deportation of Illegal Aliens by the United States,' highlighted 'detention, deportation, and permanent consequences for future visa eligibility' as outcomes of 'illegal entry into the United States.' The statement warned individuals who have 'illegally entered the United States' that offenders of such crimes will face 'prison time and deportation.' It further stated, 'Beginning a costly and dangerous journey will land you in prison or return you to the same place you started your journey with a permanent record of violating U.S. laws.' Donald Trump, the President of the United States, recently announced that in February 2025, the first full month of his second presidential term, there was a record low of illegal immigrant entries into the United States in recorded history. He emphasized in a post on Truth Social that in February 2025, only about eight thousand illegal immigrants were detained at the U.S.-Mexico border, all of whom were either quickly deported or prosecuted for crimes against the United States if necessary. He concluded, 'The invasion of our country is over.' The U.S. President compared these statistics to the Biden administration, reminding that during Biden's term, in just one month, 300,000 illegal immigrants entered the country, and nearly all of them were accepted on U.S. soil. He stressed that the U.S. borders are closed to illegal immigrants and warned that anyone attempting illegal entry will face heavy penalties and immediate deportation. The U.S. Department of Defense also recently announced it is strengthening border security by deploying a mechanized brigade and an air support battalion to the southwestern border. A Pentagon spokesperson stated that this action is in line with Donald Trump's order to enhance control over the U.S.-Mexico borders and combat illegal immigration, and these units equipped with armored vehicles and air equipment will join border operations in the coming weeks.
