The newspaper 'Ham-Mihan', published in Tehran, wrote in its issue today, Tuesday, October 9, regarding the Islamic Republic's and Iran's stance on the terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel, that this war, if it continues and expands, will have 'heavy consequences' and 'Iran will not be exempt from these effects.' This reformist-affiliated media outlet further added that 'the state of the stock market and the unofficial currency prices in the Iranian market' is part of the impacts of this battle on the country, which became evident yesterday, Sunday, October 8. Following the terrorist attack by Hamas militants, which resulted in hundreds of deaths and injuries, various markets in Iran experienced turmoil, and the prices of certain items such as gold, coins, and currency immediately began to rise significantly. Ham-Mihan continued, considering the negative impacts of this war on Iran and the lives of citizens, stating that 'political officials, especially military personnel' must exercise 'utmost care, restraint, and intelligence' in taking positions or analyzing the situation. Since the beginning of the assault by the Islamic Republic-supported militants on residential areas in Israel, many officials and institutions of the Iranian government, such as the military assistant to Ali Khamenei, the Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic, Ibrahim Raisi, and some political figures have openly supported it. A senior member of the Islamist group Hamas also announced on Sunday that this attack was carried out with the support of several backers, including the Iranian government, but he refrained from naming other supporters. The terrorist attack by Hamas on Israel faced global condemnation and declarations of solidarity from many governments with Israel, as well as condemnation of Hamas's actions by international organizations such as the United Nations. Joe Biden, the President of the United States, also reiterated Washington's 'full support' for the government and people of Israel in a conversation with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Sunday, stating that 'more aid' for the Israeli army is on the way. On Saturday, Hamas, the group supported by the Islamic Republic, carried out terrorist attacks on Israeli soil, resulting in thousands of deaths and injuries.
