What Does the Participation of Green Leaders in the Elections Mean?

For the first time since their house arrest, Green leaders announced that they would participate in the 94 elections in alignment with reformist movements in Iran. Mousavi and his wife voted, while the possibility for Mehdi Karroubi to vote was not provided. What does the participation of Green leaders in the 94 elections mean? After the crisis that engulfed the Islamic Republic in 2009 and the widespread doubt about the integrity of elections among the people, Ayatollah Khamenei repeatedly called on everyone, even those who do not accept him or the regime but care for Iran, to participate in the elections. It is impossible to discern from this level of participation who among the voters supports Ayatollah Khamenei and the Islamic Republic and who opposes it but still participated in the elections. The Green leaders are so broad-minded that they have called for their trial to end this law-breaking by the authorities. Now, this single demand that the authorities refrain from law-breaking, namely 'house arrest without trial,' is a small demand of these voters. Coincidentally, this demand is simply for the authorities to adhere to the laws of the country and nothing more. Now, with the call from the Supreme Leader, is this small legal demand not their right? If yes, then Ayatollah Khamenei must adhere to the requirements of his call, and if he does not, it means that he, while insisting on law-breaking, has issued a meaningless call because if the head of the regime does not adhere to the laws of the country and does not respect the small legal demands of citizens, why should others respect his call?
