Wife Discovers Husband's Affair, Forces Qatar Airways Flight to Land

An Iranian woman, while her husband was asleep, unlocked his mobile phone and discovered that he was having a romantic relationship with someone else. The couple's argument on a flight from Doha to Bali led the pilot to request an unscheduled landing at Chennai Airport in India. According to the Times of India, the woman became extremely angry and uncontrollable upon learning of her husband's affair. While her husband was asleep, she unlocked his phone by touching it with her finger and found out that he was involved with another woman. This caused her to become very furious, and despite the crew's efforts, they could not calm or control her. A flight security officer, who wished to remain anonymous, stated, 'This incident occurred on Sunday morning (November 5), and the pilot of a Qatar Airways flight requested to land at Chennai Airport outside of the schedule, citing the uncontrollable behavior of passengers as the reason. The couple and their children were deplaned at Chennai Airport, and the Qatar Airways flight continued its journey to Bali.' Informed sources say that since the family did not have a visa for India, they were transferred to a temporary detention center at Chennai Airport. The flight security officer further told the Times of India, 'This family had to stay at Chennai Airport that day and later took another flight to Kuala Lumpur. The police took no action against them.' A spokesperson for Qatar Airways also stated, 'We do not comment on this incident to respect the privacy of the passengers.'
