Window: Enemies of Information as Reported by Reporters Without Borders

In the past week, Reporters Without Borders issued a statement on November 2nd, which is the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, listing the enemies of information freedom, including Ayatollah Khamenei, the leader of Iran. Reporters Without Borders criticized the state of freedom of expression in Iran, stating that since Ali Khamenei came to power as the leader of Iran, at least 400 journalists and media activists have been convicted in the country. The hunger strike of imprisoned journalist Eisa Saharkhiz continues, and his family has expressed concern about his condition. Mehdi and Hossein Rajabian, two imprisoned artist brothers, have also gone on hunger strike in protest against their prison conditions. Meanwhile, five supporters of Mohammad Ali Taheri, the founder of the Circle of Mysticism school in Iran, wrote a letter to the Tehran prosecutor demanding his release. At the same time, Mohammad Ali Taheri's sister stated in an interview with Radio Farda that the family is unaware of his condition and whereabouts.
