Window; From the Continued Detention of Environmental Activists to the Conviction of Civil and Media Activists

More than four months after the detention of environmental activists, several of these individuals are still being held without access to legal counsel, and no court has been established for them, with little information available regarding their cases. Sam Rajabi is one of these individuals whose sister recently wrote a letter to Hassan Rouhani, the President of Iran, requesting attention to her brother's situation. In part of this letter, it is stated that 'judicial authorities not only do not respond to families but also threaten them.' Meanwhile, Narges Mohammadi, spokesperson and vice president of the Human Rights Defenders Association, and Abdolfattah Soltani, a lawyer who are both serving their sentences in Evin Prison, issued a joint statement declaring that the situation of environmental activists and Gonabadi Dervishes held in solitary confinement is a case of 'psychological torture.'
